OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:

Responsible for the leadership and management of all functions of the Talent & Culture department, in accordance with hotel standards. Plans, directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.

OSHAD RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ultimately responsible to ensure that, so far as is reasonable practicable, a safe system of work, safe appliances and equipment, safe place of work & competent and safety conscious personnel are safe without risk to health

• Involvement and participation on Hotel OSHMS documentation & development.

• Attend regular OHS committee meeting as a member of the committee and management review in conduct of proper planning and applying appropriate control measures for OHS relevant issue (s).

• Provide appropriate facilities for the welfare of employees.

• Ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safe use, handling storage, transportation and disposal of materials and substances and wastes without risk to health. Refer to OSHAD SF requirements

• Ensure accountability policy roles, responsibilities and promoting self-regulation are applies within the hotel; wherein, each department are encouraged to voluntarily discover, disclose & correct all identified hazards within their area of responsibilities.

• Review all reported OSH related incident occur (e.g. work related incident resulting to injury, damage to property, dangerous occurrence, near miss report, etc) and \xe2\x80\x9cOblige\xe2\x80\x9d accountable personnel/department to apply immediate control measures.

• Recognize personnel/department actively promoting good health and safety standards within their respective work.

• Enforce action against personnel/department disobeying and ignoring OSH-related matters that lead or might lead to injury, damage to property, OSH prosecution, penalties, etc.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Ensure participation and active cooperation of all employees of Rosewood Abu Dhabi in conduct of implementing OSHMS applies within the organization.

• Ensure the chain of command for OSHMS which identifies the roles and responsibilities of individuals to enable clear delegation of duties and accountabilities are in place.

• Ensure that OSHMS of RAD are always updated in line with OSHAD SF and any other relevant legislation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: College degree or equivalent experience.

• Experience: Minimum three years\' experience as a Assistant Director Talent & Culture at a

luxury or ultra-luxury property.

• General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest\'s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

• Technical Skills: Ability to organize tasks and assign responsibilities to subordinates; ability to educate staff members to develop their knowledge and skill; thorough understanding of the training process; solid planning skills; thorough knowledge of government labor laws and regulations; thorough knowledge of benefits processing; proficiency with Microsoft Office products; thorough knowledge of budget preparation and control.
