Director of Operations
Job Summary:
The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall day-to-day functioning and performance of the property. This position oversees multiple departments (typically Rooms, Food & Beverage, Security, Engineering) to ensure seamless integration, operational efficiency, and the highest standards of guest satisfaction. The Director of Operations translates the strategic vision into actionable operational plans.
Key Responsibilities:

• Overall Operational Leadership: Provide direct supervision to department heads, ensuring their areas meet or exceed financial and guest service goals.
• Strategic Planning: Assist the General Manager in developing and implementing annual business plans, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze operational data, guest feedback, and financial reports to identify trends, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all areas of the property comply with brand standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance benchmarks.
• Guest Satisfaction: Champion the guest experience, intervening to resolve escalated issues and implementing strategies to improve satisfaction scores.
• Capital Expenditure Planning: Assist in planning and overseeing capital projects, renovations, and facility upgrades.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration. Master's degree a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 5 years in a multi-departmental leadership role (e.g., Hotel Manager, Director of Operations).
• Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel/resort operational areas.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and P&L management.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
