Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement audit plans, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with the applicable rules and regulations.
- Provides assurance by assessing and reporting on the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes to achieve strategic, operational, financial, and compliance objectives.
- Maintain its independence by performing its assessments objectively, providing Management an informed and unbiased critique of governance processes, risk management, and internal control. Based on its findings, it recommends changes to improve processes and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and promote operational efficiency by identifying weaknesses in these controls and help mitigate potential risks and prevent fraud.
- Provides insight by acting as a catalyst for Management for a deeper understanding of governance processes and structures, risk, and control; and provoke positive change and innovation within the organization by identifying trends and bringing attention to emerging challenges before they become crises.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in an internal auditing role with around 3 years of management experience
- With a deep appreciation of the importance of strong governance, an in-depth understanding of business systems and processes
- Able to design and develop an audit framework from scratch
- Knowledge of free zone laws, rules, and regulations in Dubai
- Degree in Business Administration (finance/accounting) or relevant specialization; Masters degree an added value
- With qualifying professional certifications in the field of internal auditing
- Excellent English/Arabic language and communication and excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience doing an IT audit; or able to do an overview of an IT audit
