The Candidate
As Director of Finance you will join a committed finance team, driven with the intent of delivering \xe2\x80\x98FIVE-star\xe2\x80\x99 experiences to an international diaspora in the heart of vibrant Dubai and Zurich.
The VIBE at FIVE is all about performing optimally while having the best professional experience of your life. You will be expected to have a passion for your role, disrupt norms all whilst having the best time of your life.

As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing guest solutions that break boundaries.
We are looking for a natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, can focus on, and execute, tasks with a sharp eye for detail. An outgoing, people-friendly personality with an ability to think \xe2\x80\x98on your feet\xe2\x80\x99 during changing situations is also essential.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  Oversees and directs all aspects of the Finance department in the property and ensures its smooth running.
  
• Has a deep understanding and takes full responsibility of P&L for the property.
  
• Ensures all financial and management reports are accurate and available by their due dates.
  
• Defines and implements hotel internal control policies and procedures, ensuring their effectiveness so that the profitability of the hotel is maximized.
  
• Ensures books, records and accounts are maintained accurately, and fairly reflect the transactions and administration of the assets of the hotel.
  
• Maintains a system of internal accounting control, sufficient to ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with Management\xe2\x80\x99s general and specific authorization and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and specific country legislation.
  
• Reviews and certifies any hotel internal or external financial reporting before distribution.
  
• Oversees the preparation of the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s yearly operating budget.
  
• Oversees and ensures the smooth running of all accounting functions in the hotel and in particular.
  
• The timely preparation and release of accurate monthly financial statements and other related reports.
  
• All balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled on a monthly basic and discrepancies are immediately identified and corrected.
