Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance operations for the property
  • Oversee building systems including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and life safety systems
  • Manage engineering budgets, capital expenditure projects, and preventive maintenance programs
  • Drive energy conservation initiatives and cost-efficient facility operations
  • Develop specifications, manage service contracts, and supervise contractors and vendors
  • Plan and oversee renovations, upgrades, and new construction projects within budget and timelines
  • Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, public areas, grounds, and recreational facilities
  • Maintain asset protection plans and long-term preventive maintenance strategies
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and replacement of equipment, supplies, and furnishings
  • Lead emergency response readiness for all facility-related issues
  • Build effective relationships with local authorities, fire prevention bureaus, and external partners
  • Review guest feedback and collaborate with leadership to improve service performance
Ideal Profile
  • High school diploma or GED with at least three years of experience in engineering and maintenance, plus technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing
  • Or a two-year degree in building and construction, engineering, mechanics, or related field with at least one year of relevant experience and technical training
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams in hospitality or similar environments
  • Strong knowledge of life safety systems, regulatory compliance, and asset management
