Job Objective
Direct and guide the development and implementation of the Corporate Security strategy, objectives, and development plans within the company to enable the attraction of proper resources and develop capabilities in order to execute different security (Cyber and Physical) measures to ensure a safe environment within the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
A. Strategy & Planning
  • Direct and lead the development and implementation of the department related policies, systems, procedures manual, Delegation of Authority, system user manuals and standard forms to ensure compliance across the company and alignment with the companys overall policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective cascading of the sector strategy into the departments strategic and operational plans to achieve the companys overall objectives.
  • Develop and direct the implementation of the department strategic, budget and procurement, and operational plans, and monitor corporate performance ensuring alignment with the sector strategy, the companys vision, mission and corporate objectives.
  • Forecast and develop department budget and direct the monitoring of financial performance against the budget to ensure areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
  • Develop the department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with the companys overall objectives and ensure that sections meet KPIs in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
B. Operations (with sub-headings)
  • Oversee the preparation of necessary plans for specific security services/operations areas to ensure that the company is aware of current and anticipated security resource requirements.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of security strategies, plans and measures for security services, zones and plots, ensuring that the employees are trained and developed to be able to execute the related requirements.
  • Oversee the monitoring of the Cyber Security and Physical Security sections to ensure that manpower resources (internal and contracted) are correctly allocated across the department and security inspections are executed according to defined schedules.
  • Oversee the activities and work of the security employees to ensure that work in all areas of operations is carried out efficiently and aligned with department procedures and policy.
  • Oversee the setup, review and implementation of the risk management strategy, policies, controls, processes, and systems across the company to ensure risk reduction and exposure.
  • Participate in meetings with different governmental entities such as Abu Dhabi Police (ADP), Ministry of Interior (MOI), Signals Intelligence Agency (SIA), etc. to coordinate different areas related to security and discuss partnerships as required
  • Oversee and lead the development of the Information Security strategy, policies, procedures, guidelines and plans to ensure that all information security procedures are implemented and that all Information security activities are in line with IT strategy and planning documents.
  • Ensure effective monitoring and auditing of IT operations throughout the company to assess compliance with policy, identify any related risks and initiate any necessary corrective actions.
  • Oversee the compliance with Information Security policies and relevant regulations through assessment of periodic information security reviews and self-certification testing in coordination with operational risk Ensure ongoing risk assessment of external and internal threats to ensure risk mitigation and security practices and controls remain appropriate.
  • Ensure the security and safeguarding of witnesses while accessing or exiting from the company.
C. Talent Management and Development
  • Direct the effective achievement of department operational goals through effective leadership and by setting department objectives, managing performance within the department, and developing and motivating the team to maximize performance.
  • Oversee and lead talent development initiatives in coordination with the Human Resources Department and discipline experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit the companys requirements.
  • Act as a role model and ensure the team adheres to organizational values and ethics to establish a value-driven culture within the company.
  • Share professional expertise and knowledge to build internal intellectual capital and facilitate knowledge sharing across the company.
  • Manage, mentor, guide and coach section heads by using effective leadership strategies, providing directions and ensuring proper execution of all initiative undertaken by the company to the highest standards.
D. Corporate
  • Oversee and direct periodic organizational structure change and to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Direct change management through continuous improvement of department systems, processes and practices taking into account global standards and changes in the business environment, which demand proactive action plans.
  • Ensure that all department reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet the company requirements, and quality standards.
  • Oversee department adherence and compliance with all the company corporate policies, procedures and guidelines (HR, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health and Safety etc.) and code of business conduct.
E. General
  • The level of performance should reflect the academic qualification, type of courses in the field of specialization, employee job level, and the level of productivity.
  • The academic and professional certificates required and approved by the company should be acquired within the period specified and based on the employees Individual Development Plan.
  • Perform the task and responsibilities independently unless an approval or directive was obtained to delegate the task to other employees in case of incapability to perform the tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ensure teamwork, collaboration and dedication in performing duties.
  • Showcase a strong leadership to the team members.
  • Knowledge and awareness about the capabilities of the subordinates and showcase a strong knowledge in the field of specialization.
  • Provide the required support and guidance to the subordinates.
  • Take responsibility of the decisions made.
To qualify for this role, you must have:
  • 10 to 15 years of total experience, including at least 8 years in Cybersecurity.
  • A minimum of 6 years in a managerial role.
  • A Bachelor's degree,
