Following the success of Expo 2020 Dubai, Jacobs- Mace joint venture\xe2\x80\x99s Programme Management Consultant role has been extended to cover the Expo City legacy transition and legacy. In its role as Expo City\xe2\x80\x99s real estate delivery partners on this project, Jacobs is joint ventured in providing full-service consultancy including scheduling, project controls, cost and commercial management, design and delivery management, handover and contract close out within it. Dubai\xe2\x80\x99s World Expo was the first time the World\xe2\x80\x99s Fair is hosted in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region attracting 25million visitors. Expo City will build on this success to create a hub for business, leisure, entertainment and living. The Director- MEP role covers a broad spectrum of responsibility including assuring and integrating appropriate technical and MEP solutions across the Expo City programme.

- Lead and manage MEP team
- Establish sitewide strategies for MEP related elements
- Key client facing representative for all delivery programme wide systems delivery, commissioning and integration.
- Key point of contact for delivery programme for interface with Client technology and security teams, knowledge and experience in complex technology networks and systems integration required
- Management of sitewide specialist consultants from development of briefs through procurement and execution
- Review MEP and technical design submissions to assure and integrate consistently across the Expo City programme
- Delivery management
- Custodian of testing, commissioning and handover process for all Expo City projects managed by PMC
- Adding value by challenging and innovating on established methods of technical delivery where appropriate
Skills and Experience
- Experience in the design and delivery of large complex technical projects and/or programmes
- Extensive technical knowledge related to the holistic and integrated design and delivery of the many disciplines related to site and building design and engineering
- Pragmatic technical problem-solving that adds value for clients
- BS degree in a mechanical/ electrical / building services/ engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- 15 years professional experience with at least 10 years in mechanical/ electrical/ building services engineering design and delivery.
- Discipline specific professional registration preferred (Chartered Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Charter Institute of Building Services Engineers, Institute of Engineering and Technology or similar.)
