Job Description

As a Director or Manager in the Smart Plant team, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and operational performance improvement for our industrial clients. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing complex projects, and developing high-performing teams to deliver tangible business value.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Digital Transformation

• Lead digital Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 transformation programs, from strategy to execution.
• Support clients in identifying and prioritizing high-impact use cases, including digital twins, predictive maintenance, MES, IoT, AI-driven solutions.
• Ensure continuous tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure digital transformation success.

Performance Improvement

• Conduct in-depth diagnostics of manufacturing and maintenance operations to identify cost reduction, sustainability, or efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and performance improvement programs to enhance OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), asset utilization...
• Manage cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution, cost savings, and productivity gains.

Business Development

• Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and industrial leaders to drive business growth.
• Lead commercial engagement efforts, including developing proposals, and executing goto-market strategies for Smart Plant offerings.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring Capgemini Invent remains at the forefront of digital manufacturing and operational excellence.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams specializing in Smart Plant, Digital

Manufacturing, and Performance Improvement.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Drive talent development through coaching, structured career development, and knowledge sharing.

YOUR PROFILE
Education & Experience

• Director: 10+ years of experience in industrial operations, consulting, or technology-driven transformation.
• Manager: 5+ years of experience in operational performance improvement and digital transformation projects.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or Operations Research.
• Prior experience in consulting or large-scale industrial transformation is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, from shop floor to

boardroom.

• Passion for innovation, problem solving, and delivering measurable business impact.

Technical & Industry Expertise

• Strong expertise in Smart Factory solutions, including MES, EAM, AI-driven analytics, and IoT platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver measurable financial and operational improvements.

Languages & Mobility

• Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
• Experience in or strong interest in the Middle East industrial market.
