JOB TITLE: Director - Investigations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor the Speak Up incidents to actively assess and identify the potential Investigations, with guidance from CCO.
  • Actively lead the preparation and presentation of Investigation outcomes to the Executive Triage Committee at least once a quarter. Responsible for the preparation of papers for the quarterly Compliance and Ethics Committee, with guidance from the CCO.
  • Actively build and maintain strong relationships/partnership with various stakeholders in the Business and up to Board and GEC level to help facilitate successful conduct of Investigations across the group.
  • Identify and manage the hiring of subject matter experts to develop the Investigation Management function's capability. Work with other functions - such as Legal, HR and Internal Audit - as required for delivery of Investigations across the group.
  • Manage corporate-wide coaching, development, and training of non-forensic business experts to understand the Petrofac internal control environment and deliver investigation results in line with good practice. Support in creating a network of investigation resources across the business who can assist in investigations.
  • Provide guidance and oversight particularly on Investigations which are investigated by other parts of the Business.
  • Continuous improvement of Investigation Management function processes aligned with good practice. Act as a coach and mentor to the team in the delivery of Investigations work.
  • On an "as needs" basis directly support delivery of complex investigations through performing Investigation work where the team lack the capacity or capability to complete.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Graduate and with a relevant vocational qualification (internal audit, accounting, legal etc.)
  • Versatile and seasoned professional with minimum 15 years' relevant experience who has led complex fraud/compliance investigations in varied business environments, including O&G services
  • Ability to quickly understand complex business problems, identify the required solutions, and assess the consequences of rules and regulations to Petrofac businesses
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders, such as regulators, legal experts, business partners, etc
  • Ability to prioritize workload and deal with conflicting priorities
  • Experience of working in different geographies and multicultural organizations
  • Experienced in working on Forensic tools, eg: NUIX, Microsoft E-discovery, Relativity etc
