We are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join us at our new office headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Must have healthcare experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Director of Human Resources (DHR) directs the human resources activities in accordance with defined policies and objectives. Responsibilities includes to ensure efficient management of hiring, employee management, payroll and benefits, retention and promotion. Will interact with CEO, COO, and other leadership in the company.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Formulates and supervises programs relative to selection, training, promotion, welfare, and other employer/employee relationships.
  • Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the entire company.
  • Interviews job applicants; develops personnel record forms; adjust disputes and grievances and recommends necessary disciplinary actions; analyzes, classifies and evaluates jobs.
  • Administers employee welfare and recreation services and serves as an adviser to executive staff in personnel implications of policies, programs, and proposed organization changes.
  • Plans, coordinates, and administers policies, procedures and programs that relate to all phases of the HR activity including recruitment and employment, compensation, employee relations, training and development, and labor laws.
  • Determines and recommends employee relation practices that enhance the work environment, establish positive employer – employee relationship and contribute to a high level of employee morale.
  • Protects interests of employees and the company in accordance with Human Resources policies and laws and regulations.
  • Approves recommendations for terminations.
  • Reviews employee appeals through complaint procedure.
  • Directs the process of organizational planning that evaluates structure, job design and manpower forecasting throughout the company.
  • Coordinates activities across department lines.
  • Makes recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Directs a process of organizational development that primarily addresses succession planning throughout the company.
  • Establishes compensation and benefit structure, pay policies, performance appraisal, employee benefit programs and services and company safety and health programs.
  • Establishes standard recruitment and placement practices and procedures.
  • Interviews senior level executives.
  • Defines all Human Resources programs, and authority/responsibility of Human Resources and line management within those programs. Provides necessary education and materials to line management and employees-workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, standardized reports.
  • Oversees implementation of programs through Human Resources staff.
  • Monitors administration to standards.
  • Identifies opportunities and resolves discrepancies.
  • Selects and coordinates use of Human Resources consultants, insurance brokers, insurance carriers, pension administrators, training specialists, labor counsel, and other outside sources.
  • Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep top management informed of new developments.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field – required.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources – preferred.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within Human Resources – required.
  • Under Saudization policy this position is reserved for Saudi Nationals.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
  • Specialized training in organizational planning and compensation – desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS
  • Current knowledge of Joint Commission, state, and federal guidelines, regulations and standards – required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, coaching, and interpersonal skills – required.
  • Skill in communicating information in an open and sincere manner that promotes credibility (e.g. honest answers to tough questions).
  • Skill in recognizing strategic business opportunities resulting from changes in the economic, technological, political/legal, or social environments.
  • Willingness to focus on employee development through exposure, experiences, and feedback.
