We are hiring for a perpetual government sector an accomplished Emirati Director of Gifts & Medals to lead a strategic department responsible for national gifts, medals, awards, and special initiatives that reflect the UAE's heritage, values, and global stature.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of national gifts, medals, awards, and special projects from concept to implementation.
Oversee cultural research, conceptualization, design, prototyping, and production, ensuring alignment with UAE heritage, approved protocols, and the highest standards of excellence.
Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary internal teams and external stakeholders, including designers, artists, historians, cultural institutions, suppliers, and producers.
Develop and manage project governance frameworks, including master plans, timelines, budgets, risk management tools, and progress reports, with regular reporting to senior management.
Ensure operational excellence across procurement, logistics, archiving, inventory management, and compliance with financial and government regulations.
Manage evaluation cycles for awards and initiatives, driving continuous improvement, innovation, and quality enhancement.
Key Competencies
Proven senior leadership experience within government, semi-government, cultural, heritage, or protocol-driven environments
Strong expertise in strategic project management, stakeholder engagement, and governance
High cultural awareness with a deep understanding of UAE identity, values, and national narratives
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage high-profile, sensitive initiatives with discretion and professionalism
