Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth
Identify and target prospective clients (e.g., SMEs, corporations, nonprofits) needing accounting, auditing, tax, or advisory services.
Develop tailored proposals for audit engagements, financial compliance reviews, and outsourced accounting solutions.
Meet or exceed annual revenue targets by closing new business opportunities.
Market Expertise
Stay updated on accounting regulations (GAAP, IFRS), auditing standards (ISA, PCAOB), and industry trends (e.g., ESG reporting, digital audits).
Analyze competitors and position the firm's services as a differentiated solution.
Relationship Management
Build and nurture relationships with CFOs, finance directors, audit committees, and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal audit/accounting teams to ensure client needs are met and services are delivered effectively.
Strategic Planning
Develop and execute business development strategies for niche markets (e.g., forensic accounting, internal audit outsourcing).
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote the firm's brand.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with audit partners, tax advisors, and compliance teams to align pitches with service capabilities.
Provide feedback to leadership on client needs and market opportunities.
Qualifications
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. CPA, CIA, or similar certification is a
strong plus
.
Experience
: 5+ years in business development, sales, or client-facing roles within
accounting, auditing, or professional services

Industry Knowledge
:
Familiarity with audit methodologies, financial reporting standards, and compliance
Understanding of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and audit tools (e.g., Caseware, ACL).
Skills

Proven ability to sell high-value, complex services (e.g., statutory audits, risk advisory).
Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and CRM skills (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Strong analytical mindset to align client pain points with solutions.
