The Director is responsible for leading and managing:
Global Crane Refurbishment Projects,
Manufacturing Products,
Inspection of in-service cranes
Overall responsibility for these activities from marketing, budgeting. planning, tendering, execution, and completion.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
Responsible for Profit & Loss across the following business segments -
Global Crane Refurbishment Projects
Manufacturing Products
Inspections of in-service cranes
Plan and implement annual and long term revenue and P&L budgets
Lead the projects team and support them to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Prepare Terms of Reference defining the scope of services offered by WCS.
Develop work procedures and practices to differentiate WCS from the competition.
Develop and submit offers for tenders and other available work in the market
Negotiate rates and contractual terms with customers and vendors
Build relationships with new customers, and improve existing relationships
Identify and develop new opportunities and revenue streams
Plan and ensure completion of projects within budget, time and to required quality standards
Ensure that the highest level of safety is applied in all WCS activities.
Implement and monitor a HSE compliance policy.
Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound.
Develop and implement training plans to update competencies and knowledge of staff.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Very strong engineering knowledge.
Excellent knowledge and experience in the Mechanical Handling Industry (min. 12 years).
International business experience.
Experience and understanding of running a people oriented service business (min. 5 years).
Documentation and report writing.
Contract administration.
Excellent English Language skills.
Ability to deal with people at all levels.
Confidence and ability to take decisions.
