Job Summary:

As a DOP Production Operator, you will be responsible for manually operating and monitoring batch processes to produce Di-Octyl Phthalate (DOP), a key ingredient in making flexible PVC. You will ensure the process runs smoothly, safely, and meets quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Batch Operations:

Operate and monitor manual batch reactors. Load raw materials (e.g., phthalic anhydride, 2-ethylhexanol). Control temperature, pressure, and mixing during production.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

Check and record process conditions. Adjust parameters as needed for safe and efficient reactions. Identify and fix minor equipment or process issues.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow all safety rules and use protective equipment. Prevent and respond to unsafe conditions (spills, leaks, etc.). Comply with environmental and safety regulations.

Maintenance & Equipment Handling:

Assist with cleaning and maintenance of reactors, pumps, and other equipment. Report equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance.

Quality Control & Documentation:

Collect samples for testing during production. Keep accurate records of batches, equipment, and safety checks. Report quality deviations to the QA team.

Teamwork & Training:

Work closely with team members and supervisors. Help train new operators on safety and production tasks. Attend safety meetings and ongoing training.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Technical:

Knowledge of chemical reactions, batch processing, distillation, and process control.

Safety:

Understanding of industrial safety standards, PPE, and hazard handling.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot process issues and make quick adjustments.

Communication:

Clear in reporting problems and documenting production activity.

Work Conditions:

Work in a chemical plant environment. Shift work may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be physically fit to handle standing, lifting, and operating machinery.
This role is vital to ensure the safe and consistent production of DOP. The ideal candidate should have technical know-how, practical experience, and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
