Our Digital Transformation team plays a key role in supporting and defining our Customers\xe2\x80\x99 Experience. We deliver customer-facing mobile apps and web sites, and create digital assets to support all elements of our Business Unit.
Reporting to the CBU Director of Digital Transformation, the Digital Transformation Manager is a key member of a small and agile Digital Transformation team which designs and implement our digital solutions and services. The Digital Transformation Manager owns the product vision and delivery process for selected mobile app(s), web and other digital projects.
Strongly leveraging agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) the Digital Transformation Manager also manages Business stakeholders, conceptualizes and prioritizes features, guides UI/UX specialists and collaborates across business and technical teams. These skills are required to ensure a constant flow of features and improvements through the delivery teams to our end users. The role encompasses elements of product lifecycle, stakeholder management, project management, web technologies and user experience.
Role Details \xe2\x80\x93 Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Bring together stakeholders across the CBU business to define and prioritize product (app and web etc) features and requirements
Work with business and technical stakeholders, agree and communicate a clear feature roadmap, ensuring features add Business value
Manage the overall delivery of features, plan releases and set overall development team goals
Analyze, elaborate, groom, conceptualize features in collaboration with UI/UX and technical integration specialists to the level of detail where they can be built by SW development squads
Ensure that product requirements are translated into our project management tool, JIRA, align to our standard breakdown of Epics, Stories and Tasks
Take part as required in scrum or Kanban rituals, including: Daily Standups, Backlog Grooming, Estimation Sessions, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives
He/She must be sufficiently technical to understand web and mobile app architectures, propose solutions and/or challenge designs
He/She must be sufficiently experienced to help design in-app processes, create wireframes and propose screen-flows
Ensure alignment across Business stakeholders to produce an agreed plan of work and product roadmap, based on Business requirements, and team throughput
Manage the day to day delivery of product features and enhancements, including defining epics/stories, documenting acceptance criteria, setting team goals and fielding queries, addressing design issues etc
Maintain strong relationships and channels of communication with business and technical team members (internal and vendor), including Business, PMs, UI designers, Scrum Master etc
Be process-aware and work with all stakeholders to suggest and help implement improvements in delivery efficiency
Work with the delivery teams to ensure stories are well defined, up-to-date, properly estimated and costed, and includes all relevant artifacts required for the team to deliver effectively at high quality
Build-in usage analytics and performance measurement for all in-scope digital products
Keep customers and stakeholders informed of the status of the product(s)
Stay informed of industry trends and technical advances to ensure product innovation
Personal Characteristics and Required Background:
5 years or more of Product Owner/Product Management experience with mobile app and web
At least 2 years of prior experience as the principle Product Owner with high quality mobile app and/or digital platforms
Ability to assimilate requirements, suggest tactical and strategic solutions, measure usage and effectiveness.
Strong experience of agile product development and Agile certification is strongly preferred.
Display strong communication skills and be comfortable in dealing with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Must be familiar with the complete software development lifecycle and technical componentry (User Interfaces, APIs, Payment gateways etc)
Able to identify delivery risks, issues dependencies and mitigate them and support the team to accomplish goals
Expert at embedding usage analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, website pixels etc) and performance dashboards for app and web
Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
Hands-on approach \xe2\x80\x93 willing and able to assist team at all levels to get work done!
