The purpose of the Digital Media Consultant role under the supervision of the Advocacy and Communication Manager at UNICEF is to enhance the organization\'s digital presence, engagement, and fundraising capabilities in the Gulf area. This entails developing and implementing strategic plans to expand UNICEF\'s voice and reach across social and digital channels, in alignment with its digital objectives. The role involves leveraging industry best practices, both globally and locally, to ensure dynamic and meaningful engagement with audiences.

Key responsibilities include advising on and supporting the creation of digital content and campaigns, coordinating with internal and external partners to maximize fundraising efforts, and developing partnerships with influencers to amplify UNICEF\'s message. The role also focuses on ensuring brand consistency across all public-facing digital content, supporting programmatic activities with digital assets, and providing comprehensive reporting and analysis to inform future strategies.

The Digital Media consultant plays a crucial role in using digital platforms to effectively communicate UNICEF\'s mission, increase public engagement, drive fundraising activities, and support advocacy and programmatic goals in the Gulf region.

To enhance UNICEF\'s digital presence, engagement, and fundraising capabilities in the Gulf area, aligning with the organization\'s digital objectives and leveraging global and local best practices to maximize impact through the following Tasks:

-Develop and implement strategies to expand UNICEF Gulf\'s voice, reach, and engagement across social and digital channels.

- Setting the direction of the content calendar covering all key UNICEF events and initiatives in the region.

-Advise on and support the creation of all digital content and campaigns running on UNICEF Gulf social media platforms.

-Coordinate with internal and external partners to develop and implement fundraising campaigns such as Ramadan and emergency appeals.

-Identify and develop partnerships with local and regional influencers and content creators.

- Provide comprehensive digital reports in addition to analysis and feedback to refine digital engagement strategies and improve outcomes.

-Create and manage META ads campaigns covering various topics such as emergency appeals, internet safety,

-Work on the digital aspects concerning the office\'s flagship projects that combine programmes and partnerships such as digital wellbeing for adults and children and ECD.

  • A bachelor\'s degree in journalism, Communications, Multimedia, Digital Media is required.

  • Proficiency in the following skills and expertise are essential: Digital Marketing Strategy, Content Creation, Social Media Management, Fundraising and Digital Campaigns Management, Influencer and Partnerships Collaboration, Branding and Design, Analytics Reporting, Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity, Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Preferred to have technical expertise in SEO marketing, background in graphic design, and overall video production.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
