Position Purpose
  • The Digital Learning Specialist will oversee two pillars: digital learning & content design. She/he will collaborate to several cross-functional projects, bringing her/his creative ideas and digital resources to support her/his colleagues to achieve successful projects.
  • She/he will manage the Digital Learning Executive.
  • The role is based in Sephora University City Walk (60%) and D3 Office (40%) and required to do store visits in UAE on a regular basis to ensure smooth use of the LMS, understand needs from the Retail team and support and questions/concerns.

Key Accountabilities
  • The Digital Learning Specialist is responsible for defining the digital learning strategy, elevating & developing learning content, and supporting on all things digital for all training initiatives.
  • She/he collaborates with various business partners, both within the Sephora University training team as well as cross-functionally amongst different Sephora HQ departments.
  • She/he is directly managing the Digital Learning Executive who will be the main administrator of our Learning Management System (LMS) and supporting on instructional design.
  • She/he will work hand in hand with Training Managers and the following departments: HR, Retail Category Management & Marketing.
  • A close partnership with the European (EME) Sephora University is critical as well to ensure consistency in training content and strategy.

Digital Learning (50%)
  • Define the LMS strategy + communication plan and adjust quarterly based on business needs.
  • Communicate dashboard results on monthly basis to key stakeholders and store teams.
  • Create action plan with Category Trainers to define brand priorities and digital plan on the LMS.
  • Develop e-learning modules to be integrated in LMS for all key launches, trainings, animations, and peak periods (Ramadan + Festive).
  • Lead new EME LMS\xe2\x80\x99 launch, in collaboration with the EME digital team, and change management for integrating it with Retail teams.
  • Set quarterly meetings with Store Managers to review team performance on the LMS.
  • Measure the success of the tool, demonstrating how it links to sales and how engaged participants are with the tool.
  • Launch competitions, in line with Category Trainers, to increase usage and engagement

Content Design (40%)
  • Partner with Training Managers and Category Trainers on developing content (PowerPoints, training content, or e-learnings) based on business priorities.
  • Develop & film videos, tutorials, etc. with Sephora talents to be posted on the LMS.
  • Develop digital content and physical training tool (when needed) for animation trainings in partnership with Trainer in charge.
  • Adapt content from EME team to reflect the needs and audience in the Middle East.
  • Partner with Retail and HR to design content for new projects (at both Retail & HQ levels).
  • Elevate content for the Sephora University team to make it visually engaging and exciting for the learner

Training Event Support (10%)
  • Partner with Training Managers and Category Trainers on events\xe2\x80\x99 organization and management, supporting selection of suppliers and digital elements creation.
  • Management of videography/photography suppliers and budget.
  • Ensure digital engagement during the events (if needed)

Skills, Experience and Personality
  • We are seeking someone digitally savvy, creative, resourceful, solution-oriented and a strong business partner, able to understand needs and support his partners with the most adapted solutions and tools.
  • She/he must have training content creation experience, instructional design, and support and/or management of an LMS.
  • She/he will think creatively and are self-motivated to work independently. Arabic is a plus.
  • Most importantly, the candidate needs to live and breathe the Sephora Culture, DNA and Employee Value propositions (EVP).
