Performs initial assessment and reassessment of patients in the department
Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards.
Inspect meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.

Training and mentoring new Dietician in the department.

Provide daily supervision and support to the inpatient and outpatient services with regard to food service / nutritional programs.
Recruit, interview, select employees and provide effective recommendation for hiring; evaluates competency and performance of personnel, recommend disciplinary actions and promotions.
Works closely with other Heads of the Department in developing policies and procedures to promote quality health care.
Advises and orients staff on policies and procedures as well as quality control measures for test procedures.
Responsible for formulation, implementation & oversees the policies and procedures as per the standards of HAAD, EHSMS, JCI, ISO and Regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with the hospital policies and procedures as per the standards of HAAD, EHSMS, JCI, ISO and other Regulatory bodies.
Ensures all Dieticians in the department maintain accredited licensing and certification.
Monitors the status of equipment repairs and preventative maintenance by gathering data on equipment malfunctions and associated down time, and documents the same.
Applies the profession\'s Code of Ethics in all aspects of practice.
Develops, supports and participates in active Continuing Medical Education program for the staff which may include workshops, conferences, lectures and other educational activities.
Develop curriculum and prepare manuals, visual aids, course outlines, and other materials used in teaching.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS
Must possess BSc degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from an accredited program
Must possess Current National license
MSc in relevant clinical field (will reduce 1 year from the required years of experience)
Active member of a nutrition society or Association
Must possess at least 2 years of experience as clinical dietitian in an acute care facility; * UAE National: upon completion of Internship
Ability to review procedures and implement new models of service delivery to satisfy client and organizational requirements.
Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes and ability to consult with staff regarding continuous improvement.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
Possess a \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d and flexible approach.
Ability to demonstrate highly developed communication and organizational skills at all levels.
Ability to provide compassionate care that is respectful to patients\' preferences.
Knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
