Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnosing and Repairing Engine Issues: Identifying and fixing problems with diesel engines, including troubleshooting issues with fuel systems, turbochargers, and other components.

- Performing Routine Maintenance: Conducting regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.

- Repairing and Replacing Components: Fixing or replacing faulty components like fuel injectors, pumps, and engine parts to get trucks back on the road quickly.

- Troubleshooting Electrical and Electronic Systems: Diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic systems, including those related to engine management, transmission, and braking.

- Conducting Inspections and Testing: Performing inspections and tests to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

- Maintaining Records and Documentation: Keeping accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections, as well as documenting any issues or concerns.

- Collaborating with Other Technicians: Working with other mechanics and technicians to share knowledge, resources, and expertise.

- Staying Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Keeping current with the latest technologies, tools, and techniques in diesel engine repair and maintenance.

- Ensuring Safety and Compliance: Following safety protocols and ensuring that all work is done in compliance with industry regulations and standards.

- Providing Excellent Customer Service: Communicating effectively with customers, explaining repairs and maintenance needs, and providing estimates and recommendations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or technical certification in automotive/diesel mechanics. Minimum [3-5] years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel injection systems, and diagnostic procedures. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Skilled in using tools, lifting equipment, and diagnostic devices. Good physical condition and stamina for lifting, bending, and working in tight spaces. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic understanding of safety protocols and hazard control.
