As a DevOps Engineer, you will join a digital development team that uses cutting-edge technology to provide applications that put Sky News Arabia first for online content, customer service, and sales.

• Manage on-premise and cloud hosting infrastructure.
• Build and setup new development tools and infrastructure.
• Help development team with daily operations tasks.
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Carry out the deployment and acting as release engineer.
• Answers support calls for Sky News Arabia Websites and Content Management Systems.
• Round the clock emergency support based on the on-call rota.

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar relevant degree.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Solid experience with cloud environments (AWS).
• Solid experience with CI/CD.
• Strong hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix (Infra), Grafana (Application), Prometheus, ELK (Anyone).
• Extensive Software Development Life-Cycle knowledge using Agile Methodologies.
• Use shell script/python to automate Linux system maintenance tasks, especially around rebuilding virtual Linux (CentOS/RedHat) servers.
• VMWare Automation.
• Solid knowledge in Linux System and Linux Services.
• Solid experience in creating and build RPM spec files.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL or other database systems.
• Experience with GIT & SVN.
• Experience with test-driven development and microservices architecture.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Cloud formation.
• Performance testing & tuning experience, especially with Tomcat/Java web applications.
• Experience with administration and optimization of Apache and NGINX.
• CDN Configuration and implementation.
• Understanding of VOD and Streaming protocols HLS /RTMP/DASH/RTP.
