Job Brief:

We are looking for a DevOps Consultant to help us plan, build and execute functional systems that help our customers and improve their experience. You are required to play a critical role in integrating project functions and resources through the product lifecycle from planning, building, testing, and deployment to support.

DevOps Engineer responsibilities include deploying product updates, identifying production issues executing and automating operational processes fast, accurately, and securely.

Job Responsibilities:

- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers.

- Working with software developers and software engineers to maintain smooth development and Deployment.

- Implement integrations required by customers.

- Plan & deploy updates and fixes.

- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.

- Design & develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.

- Testing and examining code and performing root cause analysis for production errors.

- Investigate and resolve technical issues.

- Ensure developed systems are secure against cybersecurity threats and identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.

- Develop scripts to automate visualization that improves development and release processes.

- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

- Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs.

- Plan and perform project management tasks.

Job Requirements:

- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field. A Master's degree is preferred.

- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role for at least 5 years.

- Proficient with git and git workflows.

- Experience with software engineering and customer experience.

- Experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation.

- Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure.

- Good knowledge of Ruby or Python.

- Working knowledge of databases and SQL.

- Working knowledge of cybersecurity threats and methods to secure systems.

- Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo.

- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services.

- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles.

- Problem-solving attitude.

- Collaborative team spirit.

- Excellent troubleshooting.
