Description The development manager at Insight Legal will lead and manage the development team to ensure timely product delivery and maintain the award-winning product’s quality. This role takes responsibility for:
Delivering new releases of our core products on schedule
Ensuring internal products are maintained and developed
Managing Development Resource to deliver on company goals.
Ensuring the continued growth and progression of the development team.
Continual improvement of the development processes, tools and technologies.
KEY TASKS AND DUTIES, ACTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Release Cycles
Work with product owner and CTO to develop user stories.
Coordinate development and QA time estimates
Prioritisework for development and QA
Sprints
Run kickoffs, huddles and retrospectives
Assign work to developers
Track progress against estimates
Development Team
Ensure continued professional development of the team
Conduct 1-2-1s, and performance appraisals
Recruitment and growth of team
Review and continually improve upon all development processes
Maintain team morale and cohesion
Balance Development Across Multiple Projects
