Required skills, qualifications and experience
All candidates:
- Resident applicants: must be enrolled in a University in the UAE.
- UAE national applicants: open to all universities.
- GPA Higher than or equal to 3.0. (open to all STEM degrees (engineering), business, IT...).
- IELTS score of 6.0 and above. (and/or other equivalent tests).
- Excellent in using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) platform.
- Familiar with writing and reading scripts on MATLAB & Python.
- Past coursework/self-study in Artificial Intelligence.
- Familiar with the fundamental AI concepts.
- Familiar with Deep Learning concepts.
- Basic object-oriented programing skills.
- Experience writing software requirements and tests .
- Strong Python/C++/MATLAB and experience using and developing GUIs, as well as experience using source control management tools.
- Familiar with convolutional networks using MATLAB & Python deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
- Familiar with working concepts of object detectors.
- Preparing detailed documents in LaTeX.
- Familiar with the working concepts of ROS/ROS
- Familiar with writing and reading C++/C# scripts on Unreal Engine/Unit
- Familiarity with developing AR/VR application
- Familiarity with Game Design/Metaverse Application

About the Role
Lockheed Martin is looking for ambitious and hardworking interns to work on a number of exciting projects at our Center for Innovation and Security Solutions in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi.
The intern will report to the manager of the Lockheed Martin Center for Innovation & Security Solutions but will also take tasking directions from Lockheed Martin mentors.
The internship session is anticipated to start in October 2025 and will run for 8-11 weeks, which can be extended based on performance.
