About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Design Manager - Utilities Systems

to lead the planning and design of major utilities infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design of utility networks--such as water, wastewater, stormwater, power, and communications--and proven leadership experience within

PPP (Public-Private Partnership)

project environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the design of utilities systems across major infrastructure projects. Oversee multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate the integration of utility networks with broader project requirements. Review and approve engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and construction documentation. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and PPP project requirements. Provide technical guidance, design oversight, and strategic input across all project stages. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities, and project stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 15 years of experience

in the design of utilities systems (water, wastewater, electrical, communications, or similar). Experience as a

design team lead

(or equivalent) on

at least two similar PPP projects

.

Engineering degree

from a recognized university.

Chartered or professional engineering status

with

a minimum of 10 years of post-professional-qualification experience

.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

Strong understanding of utilities planning, network integration, and infrastructure coordination. Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and large design packages. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience working on large-scale, complex engineering projects
