Job Responsibilities

• Research and draft blueprints, engineering plans, and graphics.
• Accurately follow specifications outlined in proposed projects to ensure that the overall production goal is achieved in the end
• Be present for consultation with clients for an in-depth discussion of what the job at hand involves
• Create new designs and forward them to the project manager, production and manufacturing for evaluation.
• Experience developing product design and manufacturing
• Develop test prototypes
• Develop products applicable to the oil and gas industry in line with the American Petroleum Institute.
• Identify solutions to improve production efficiency.
• Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products.
• Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
• Assess all newly designed engineering products to determine issues or risks.
• Estimate cost limits and budgets for new designs.
• Supervise the manufacturing process of all designs.
• Coordinate with other engineers, management, production and manufacturing departments.
  

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Accurate and strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office and popular design software.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role particularly with oil and gas and API products.
  

Education Requirements

• Degree in design engineering, engineering, product design, or relevant field.
  

Physical Requirements

• Physically active to easily move around workshop, vendor workshop and customer sites.
