GEMS Education is looking for a Design and Technology Educational Assistant to join its team in Dubai. This role supports students and teachers in workshops and labs, ensuring safe practices, technical readiness, and administrative support for the department. Core Duties

• Support DET teachers and students in lessons and projects, encouraging innovation and creativity
• Prepare and maintain workshops and labs, ensuring tools, machines, and materials are organized and safe
• Assist with the operation of 3D printers, CNC routers, laser cutters, and other technical equipment (training provided)
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with equipment and software
• Manage inventory, ordering, and organization of departmental materials and consumables
• Support displays of student work, departmental events, and project logistics
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in workshop and classroom spaces
• Provide flexible support as required by the Head of Department

Candidate Profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a similar support or assistant role preferred
• Hands-on knowledge of design, engineering, and technology equipment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Proactive, reliable, and adaptable to departmental needs
