We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our dermatology clinic team.

The ideal candidate will assist dermatologists in delivering high-quality care, performing clinical tasks, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role is ideal for a nurse interested in specializing in dermatology and gaining hands-on experience in skin health, aesthetics, and minor surgical procedures.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active [

] nursing license. Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in dermatology or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience in a dermatology or outpatient clinic setting. Knowledge of dermatology-specific procedures and treatments, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and cosmetic injectables.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care and Assessment

Welcome patients and conduct initial assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and primary concerns. Educate patients on skincare routines, post-procedure care, and medications prescribed by the dermatologist. Address patient questions and concerns with empathy and clarity.
2. Assistance with Procedures

Assist dermatologists during exams, minor surgeries, biopsies, laser treatments, and other dermatologic procedures. Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and organized. Support post-procedural care, including dressing changes and follow-up instructions.
3. Administration and Documentation

Document patient information, procedures, and treatments accurately in electronic medical records (EMR). Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and laboratory test scheduling. Ensure compliance with clinic policies, OSHA standards, and medical guidelines.
4. Medication Management

Prepare and administer medications as directed by the dermatologist. Provide patients with information on prescription medications, possible side effects, and safety tips.
5. Clinic Operations Support

Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms, procedure areas, and supply stations. Assist with inventory management, ensuring adequate stock of supplies and medications. Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow and positive patient experiences.

Working Conditions:

This position requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting. Must be comfortable with direct patient contact and able to handle sensitive medical situations professionally.
