JOB DESCRIPTION-REGISTERED NURSE/ BEAUTY THERAPIST 1. Job Purpose The role of the Registered Nurse / Beauty Therapist is to provide expert medical and personal care services to clients with regard to IV Cannulations, skin/beauty pre and post treatment and for cosmetic enhancement. He or she helps not only with the application of treatments but also with advising and recommending appropriate services via client consultations. Duties and Responsibilities 2. Primary Responsibilities and Duties as a Beauty Therapist Operations

  • As a Beauty Therapist you should be able to listen to the Client's need and understand what he/she is looking for & suggest the best treatment for the skin's concern.
  • Advice a Treatment Plan to the client & follow up monthly/weekly in order to maintain a good result.
  • Suggest the best product to the client for home care.
  • The competent be able to practice peelings (mechanical, enzymatic, chemical), Deep Cleansing Facial, Lymphatic Massage, anti-aging facials with application of: Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Retinol.
  • The Beauty Therapist must be able to operate machines such as: Cryo Machine and Led light.
  • Should be able to give foot massage and back & neck massage.
  • To combine Facials and Machines and give it as a Treatment Plan to follow.
  • The treatment and care of facial skin to maintain and improve its appearance, including understanding about the sun and its effect on the skin.
  • Explain to the client the product ingredients and the way to use it & advice best product to the client for the skin concern.
  • The documented and competent provision and administration of Elixir Clinic's chemical treatments for face and body, including documentation of educational updates.
  • Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all procedures including detailed informed consents, and patient education regarding equipment and skin care protocols.
  • The provision of safe, independent, high quality care, in the hospital/ outpatient, and surgical office setting, under the auspices and adhering to Standard precautions, occupational health, environment and safety standards as mandated by Elixir Clinic and DOH and including particular attention to the prevention and control of infections.
  • Anticipates, recognises, and manages emergencies, and unsafe situations and practice, initiating appropriate and timely interventions.
  • Performs all duties in a professional and confidential manner.
  • To evidence documented training, competence, and continuing education for all mechanical laser equipment.
  • To keep a track any treatment or purchase made by the Client.
  • To update a hard copy record about each client & update in the system.
  • Inventory to be monthly for Medik8 and LSDM.
  • Responsible of cleanliness of equipment's and room.
  • To take care of Orders and Inventory & be responsible for Store room.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Guide and mentor junior or new staff.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teamwork
  • Implement hospital's policies & procedures.
  • Ensure Policies & Procedures concerning Beautician service and practice are up to date.
  • Any other projects / duties within scope of practice as directed by Branch manager / Operations Manager.
Medical Nursing Responsibilities
  • Collects information on patient status from a variety of sources using assessment skills including observation, communication and physical assessment.
  • Ensure all clients have their needs met and receive appropriate attention.
  • Works with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
  • Is adept and knowledgeable with the use of specific equipment.
  • Is highly skilled at IV Cannulation and Phlebotomy .
  • Assists Medical doctors with patients.
  • Is responsible for ordering Medication and managing medication rotation.
  • Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all patients records according to TEC Elixir Medical Center's standards.
  • Ensure all consents, medical records and notes are organised, compiled and stored correctly.
  • Anticipates, recognizes and manages emergencies, and unsafe situations/practice, and initiates appropriate and timely intervention.
  • Influences and facilitates change within the department in order to improve standards of care.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of health and safety and compliance. Ensuring all necessary checks are carried out and full stock counts completed at the correct times.
  • Promotes an environment that enables patient safety, independence, quality of life and health.
  • Maintains the strictest confidentiality and performs all duties in a professional manner.
  • Assists in the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for all operational areas of the clinic.
  • Assisting in the development\implementation of cost effective policies and procedures for all administrative and operational areas.
  • Required to help with administration work in the office when not busy with nursing duties.
  • Issue reports when necessary.
Customer Service
  • Adhere to the TEC Elixir Medical Centre mission of Faster-Better-Friendlier service
  • Perform duties such as straightening magazines and brochures to maintain lobby or reception area.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer need assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and Evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure correct information is available for cashier to charge.
  • Adhere to the hospitals telephone standards
Personal responsibilities

3. Job Requirements 3.1 Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Be socially perceptive; aware of other's reactions and understanding why they react the way they do.
  • Knowledge (verbal/documented / demonstrated) of light chemical peels, facials, lymphatic massage, safety and sanitation; theory of massage; facial procedures; skin and its disorders; machine facials, and facial make-up; cosmetic chemistry; the sun and its effect on skin; physical assessment.
  • Knowledge of pre-operative, beautician, and plastic surgery services: locally, regionally, and internationally.
  • In-depth knowledge of governmental or accreditation guidelines on the provision of above-mentioned services.
  • Practical knowledge of hospital operations.
  • Be computer literate in Microsoft Word / Excel / Pulse
  • At least one year working experience in healthcare or service industry
  • Administration
