Key Responsibilities:
Patient evaluation:
Conducting thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, to diagnose skin, hair, and nail disorders.
Diagnosis and treatment:
Identifying a wide range of conditions and creating individualized treatment plans, which may involve prescribing medications, using light therapy, or performing minor surgeries.
Surgical and cosmetic procedures:
Performing surgical procedures such as mole removal, skin biopsies, and excisions. They may also conduct cosmetic treatments like chemical peels and laser therapies.
Patient education:
Informing patients about their conditions, proper skincare regimens, and ways to prevent future issues.
Monitoring and follow-up:
Monitoring patient progress, evaluating the effectiveness of treatments, and making adjustments as needed.
Collaboration:
Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Continuing education:
Staying current with the latest advancements and techniques in the field of dermatology.
