Job Description

Examine patients' skin, hair, and nails to identify conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections, and pigmentation issues. Take detailed patient histories, including lifestyle, family history, and prior treatments. Order and interpret laboratory tests, skin biopsies, and allergy tests when require Prescribe topical, oral, or injectable medications. Perform dermatological procedures such as cryotherapy, excisions, cauterisation, laser treatments, and chemical peels. Provide wound care for skin injuries, burns, or post-surgical healing. Administer cosmetic dermatology treatments (if part of the medical centre's services) such as Botox, fillers, or skin rejuvenation therapies. Advise patients on skincare routines, sun protection, and prevention of skin diseases. Educate on early detection of skin cancers and encourage regular screenings. Counsel on the impact of diet, stress, and lifestyle on skin health. Coordinate with other specialists (oncologists, endocrinologists, plastic surgeons) for multidisciplinary care. Refer patients to hospitals or specialized centres for advanced treatments when needed. Maintain accurate patient medical records. Ensure compliance with health regulations, infection control, and clinic protocols. Stay updated on the latest dermatological research, treatments, and technologies. Conduct skin health awareness programs or community outreach. Supervise junior doctors, nurses, or aestheticians. Participate in teledermatology consultations if offered by the centre.
