JOB TITLE: DEPUTY MANAGER - PROJECTS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and co-ordinate project technical interfaces between multiple work packages/contractors, vendors, engineering to ensure: compliance with schedule, consistent design basis and data set, overall design consistency and integrity.

Coordinate the interaction between all phases of the project in respect to deliverables. Support team coordination to ensure execution as per defined parameters.

Ensure a cost-effective integration between different packages/contractors and project activities.

Effective interface management and control including their relevant activities, facilitating the traceability of agreements and changes, if any.

Assure technical cooperation in the team and with contractors in order to minimize technical and

economical risks

Liaison with all technical managers in order to assure the alignment and consistency of technical designs.

Assure interface status reports (including progress status and identification of concerns and highlight areas).

Manage meetings, as necessary, between different contractors in order to reduce technical and

economical risks, negotiating the best resolution of interface discrepancy, if any.

Review contract in terms of scope of work, obligations to the client, schedules, possible areas of

concerns, action plans, assist in the preparation of the agenda for the kickoff meeting with the client.

Co-ordinate and interface with Engineering disciplines during preparation of deliverables such as

material requisition, technical bid evaluation and purchase requisition, drawings, procedures,

calculations etc.

Interface with procurement in the review of procurement activities.

Organize weekly review meetings with the client to discuss progress achieved to date as well as

establish forecasts for the following week\xe2\x80\x99s activities.

Co-ordinate with the expediting team for delivery of equipment and materials.

Interface with site to resolve site queries, coordinate with Project Engineering in respect to material not received, non-conformance reports, drawings etc.

Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as required by the reporting manager.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Engineering degree with a minimum of 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in handling EPC projects

PMT Certification would be an added advantage.
