Key Responsibilities Clinical & Patient Care
Prepare operatory, instruments, and materials; assist chairside across all procedures.
Take/record vitals; support consent and pre/post-op instructions; manage patient comfort and privacy.
Mix/handle impression, restorative, endo, and surgical materials; assist with digital scans and shade matching.
Support implant/surgical cases (tray setup, sterile field maintenance, suturing assistance, post-op packs).
Chart accurately in the practice management system; ensure treatment notes, lab dockets, and referral letters are complete.
(If permitted) Operate dental X-ray/CBCT in line with DHA permit and radiation safety protocols.
Infection Control & Sterilization
Adhere to DHA standards and clinic SOPs for decontamination and sterilization.
Manage instrument reprocessing cycles (cleaning, packing, autoclave, biological/chemical indicators).
Maintain daily/weekly sterilization & housekeeping logs; ensure operatory turnover times are met.
Stock, Equipment & Facilities
Monitor and replenish surgery stock; conduct weekly counts; raise purchase requests with suppliers.
Check equipment function (autoclaves, suction, compressors); escalate faults promptly; record maintenance.
Maintain emergency kit & drugs checklist; ensure BLS readiness.
Administration & Patient Flow
Support reception during peak times: confirmations, payments, recalls, and patient scheduling.
Liaise with labs (case dispatch/receipt, turnaround monitoring).
Protect patient data confidentiality in line with UAE data protection expectations and clinic policy.
