Job Summary

The Dental Assistant supports dentists during clinical procedures and ensures smooth daily operations of the dental clinic. The role includes preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, maintaining sterilization standards, and providing excellent patient care before and after treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during dental procedures (general, cosmetic, and surgical)

Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms according to infection control protocols

Greet patients and prepare them for treatment

Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures

Take and develop dental X-rays (if licensed)

Manage dental materials and instruments during procedures

Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

Support dentists with impressions, suction, mixing materials, and chairside assistance

Follow DHA / MOH infection control and safety regulations

Assist with post-treatment instructions and patient education

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and work areas

Assist in inventory management and ordering dental supplies when required

Requirements & Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate in Dental Assisting

Valid MOH license or eligibility

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is an advantage

Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and procedures

Familiar with infection control standards and sterilization protocols

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Professional appearance and patient-focused attitude
