Dental Assistant
to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our practice.
Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for dental treatments and procedures.
Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up trays, and preparing materials.
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments.
Manage or assist with dental and medical emergencies when required.
Support dental hygienists with various procedures as needed.
Provide excellent patient care and comfort throughout visits.
Record treatment details and patient information accurately in dental records.
Capture and process dental x-rays, ensuring proper maintenance of x-ray equipment.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, dental care, and preventive practices.
Collect and record patient medical and dental histories, including vital signs.
Deliver postoperative instructions under the dentist's direction.
Maintain and care for all dental equipment.
Take preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations.
Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impression trays.
Order and manage dental supplies while maintaining accurate inventory.
Requirements:
Dental X-ray certification (required).
Previous experience as a dental assistant (preferred).
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
A caring, patient-centered approach and professional demeanor.
