The Demi Chef de Partie is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with hotel standards. The role supports the Chef de Partie in daily operations, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and smooth workflow in the assigned kitchen section.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting food items according to hotel recipes and standards.
Support the Chef de Partie in managing the assigned kitchen section.
Ensure all food items are prepared on time and meet quality requirements.
Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures in accordance with HACCP standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
Assist in receiving and storing food supplies properly.
Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
Help minimize food waste and ensure proper portion control.
Support in training and guiding Commis Chefs when needed.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak times.
Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and kitchen SOPs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a hotel environment.
Good knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation.
Understanding of hygiene, safety, and HACCP standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for culinary work.
