Job Summary:
The Demi Chef will serve in private luxury villas and assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring that all food meets our high standards of quality and consistency. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for culinary arts. The ideal candidate will have experience in a professional kitchen, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to recipes and standards set by the Head Chef.
Station Management:
Manage a specific station in the kitchen, ensuring that all ingredients are prepared and ready for service.
Quality Control:
Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to our standards.
Kitchen Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Health and Safety:
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent contamination.
Inventory Management:
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and help in ordering supplies as necessary.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably as a Commis Chef or similar role. Experience in a high-volume or fine dining establishment is a plus.
Skills:
Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of cooking techniques and ingredients. Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Education:
Culinary diploma or equivalent training is preferred.
Communication:
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility:
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
