Demi Chef de Partie (Continental)
Job Summary:
The Demi Chef de Partie is a section leader responsible for a specific part of the kitchen (e.g., grill, saute, pantry) within the Continental cuisine brigade. This role requires a high level of skill and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes specific to their section according to standard recipes.
  • Take charge of the section in the absence of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Ensure the section is set up and stocked for service.
  • Train and guide Commis Chefs within the section.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Uphold cleanliness, hygiene, and safety protocols in their section.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Culinary school background or apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef ready for promotion, or existing Demi Chef de Partie experience.
  • Expertise in the specific techniques of their section (Continental cuisine).
  • Ability to work well under pressure during busy service periods.
  • Good team management and communication skills.
