The Demi Chef de Partie the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation and presentation meet hotel standards. The role requires maintaining high levels of hygiene, organization, and teamwork within the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to standard recipes and specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area and ensure all hygiene and safety standards are followed.
Support the Chef de Partie in daily mise-en-place and station setup.
Monitor portion and waste control to maintain food cost targets.
Ensure all kitchen equipment and tools are properly used and maintained.
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries as per hotel procedures.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant.
Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
Team player with good communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Culinary diploma or equivalent certification preferred.
