Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Demi Chef De Partie - Pastry to join our culinary team at Rotana. The Demi Chef De Partie - Pastry will be responsible for helping to oversee the pastry section in our kitchen, ensuring the preparation of high-quality and delicious pastries and desserts. The successful candidate will work alongside our talented team of chefs, assisting in menu planning, recipe creation, and ensuring the smooth running of the pastry section.

Job Responsibility:
- Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in the planning and preparation of pastry items, desserts, and other baked goods.
- Follow recipes and standards to ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all pastries and desserts.
- Assist in the creation of new and innovative pastry items, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Monitor stock levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, and coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely replenishment.
- Adhere to all hygiene and safety standards, ensuring that the pastry section is clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior chefs, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the pastry team to develop and implement efficient production methods and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques, continuously improving pastry skills and knowledge.

- Attend required meetings and daily briefings with your team members ensuring efficient communication, to run your kitchen section smoothly

-Guide and train the subordinates on a daily basis to ensure highly motivated and economical working environment.

- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests\' and employees\' health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment

- Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Skills

Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Demi Chef De Partie - Pastry or similar role, preferably in a hotel or high-end restaurant setting.
- In-depth knowledge of pastry and dessert preparation techniques and recipes.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and delicious pastries.
- Team-oriented mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Formal culinary education or relevant certification is desirable.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
