Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair Hotel is a 620-room-and-suite upper upscale property. Catering for both business and leisure clientele. The hotel is located in Deira in the heart of Dubai and within easy reach of major tourist landmarks, leisure destinations and city services. It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10-minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

As a Demi Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and standards of food served. You will oversee and guide daily kitchen operations while maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and hygiene. In addition, you will conduct theoretical and practical training for Commis and trainees to develop their culinary skills.

What you will be doing:
Handle and maintain kitchen equipment, machinery, and tools correctly.
Ensure proper care, handling, and utilization of all food items in the preparation kitchen.
Maintain polite communication and professional demeanor in interactions with guests and team members.
Ensure behavior and personal appearance set a positive example for all heartists and reflect the hotel's standards.
Supervise and monitor the performance of team members under your supervision.
Prepare and check store requisitions in advance, ensuring adequate defrosting and supply for kitchen operations.
Monitor daily orders for satellite kitchens and manage inter-kitchen transfers and production reports.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and cleaning in the preparation kitchen, following kitchen manuals.
Delegate work effectively, coordinate shifts, and leave clear instructions for the next team.
Adhere to all house rules, assist in enforcing them, and perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is preferred.
Demonstrated excellence in strategic leadership and the ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team effectively.
Creative and passionate about culinary arts, food quality, and delivering outstanding guest service.
Ability to perform under high-pressure conditions while maintaining consistency and quality.
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards (HACCP), and kitchen operations.

Visa requirements:
Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
