The Demi Chef de Partie is an integral part of the kitchen brigade, responsible for assisting the Chef de Partie in overseeing a specific section of the kitchen. They ensure the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes meet the establishment's standards. This role offers an opportunity for culinary development and progression within the kitchen hierarchy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Chef de Partie in managing a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., sauces, fish, meats, vegetables).
Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, standards, and hygiene regulations.
Ensure food quality and presentation meet the establishment's standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your section, including equipment and tools.
Follow safety and hygiene policies, including HACCP standards.
Support junior kitchen staff and provide guidance where necessary.
Assist with stock control, including ordering and inventory management.
Work efficiently under pressure during busy service times.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food safety standards.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
