In this role, you will support the Chef de Partie in managing a specific kitchen section, aiding in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.Key Responsibilities:
Support in Food Preparation:
Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes, ensuring all standards and recipes are strictly followed.
Quality Control:
Maintain consistency in taste and presentation of dishes in your section, regularly checking ingredients for freshness and quality.
Cooking Skills Development:
Actively engage in developing your culinary skills and techniques, learning from senior kitchen staff.
Kitchen Hygiene:
Keep your workstation organized, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations, practicing proper food handling and sanitation.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the kitchen team, communicating effectively to ensure smooth operations and timely service during meal periods.
Inventory Assistance:
Help in the management and organization of kitchen supplies, ensuring all ingredients are well-stocked and fresh.
Team Support:
Provide assistance to junior kitchen staff, sharing knowledge and promoting teamwork within the kitchen.
Requirements:
Prior experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen is preferred.
