Support the Chef de Partie in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes within your section
Assist with mise en place and cooking during service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work station
Ensure all food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
Follow recipes and presentation standards as directed by senior chefs
Help train and guide commis chefs and kitchen assistants
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Contribute to minimizing waste and controlling portion sizes
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen, ideally within a hotel or similar environment
Culinary diploma or equivalent certification preferred
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety practices
Willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen brigade
Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
