Role Purpose

Manages, balances, and analyse all demand and supply in the given categories, using advanced analytical, statistical, and optimization techniques.
Develop, communicate, and execute end-to-end product demand and supply plans across all channels of distribution in the GCC Region for a current or future product line in collaboration with Commercial, Marketing, Finance and Store Operations.

Responsible for measuring, optimizing and continuously improving forecast accuracy, planning inventory flows and phasing, inventory levels, minimizing errors, driving continuous improvement through processes, analysis, etc. Implement and use the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to harmonize and drive global improvement with common targets.

Key Role Specific Accountabilities
  • Forecast demand, inventory, and multi-channel sell through. Generate weekly, monthly and yearly supply plans that meet financial objectives. Evaluate risks, plan and implement contingency plans to mitigate
  • Create baseline forecasts, maintaining data and forecast integrity in the forecasting tool(s) as well as other related platforms; communicate forecast to internal customers
  • Conduct monthly forecast review and update the master data, address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Use latest techniques (available in business or regional/global best-practices) for forecasting & demand planning
  • Plan & monitor replenishment across the distribution network , stores & online by maintaining accurate replenishment parameters
  • Responsible for maintaining capacity plans to ensure the efficient inventory holding, service levels and cost-saving objectives, in collaboration with Logistics and Store Operations
  • Ensuring accurate master data across all sites
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to analyse trends impacting the product launch, promotions, customer behaviour, and sale/promo decisions
  • Defining forecast & replenishment process for new product introduction to avoid over-buy or OOS stock scenarios
  • Budget & re-forecasting on store-day-category level for the new financial years and the current year regularly
  • Monthly business review meeting, weekly trade review meetings, actionable outcomes and publishing actions taken and improvements achieved to the management
  • Monitoring monthly ageing stock level and building liquidating strategy with commercial teams
  • Ensuring assortment availability across all the listed sites and atleast 5 months cover in the estate on all the import articles
Person Specific

Education:

Master\'s degree desired - Bachelor Degree minimum required

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
  • 5+ years\' experience in Home or DIY retail merchandise, financial, demand & supply planning
  • Knowledge of Demand & Supply planning, general knowledge of Supply Chain & inventory
  • Prior experience in financial planning, product planning, OTB control, inventory management, store replenishments, promotional/sale management, stock management and ageing clearance
  • Experience with using ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced planning tools with statistical modeling
Job-Specific Skills:
  • Advance system proficiency, MS Office, Excel; SAP experience is additional advantage
  • Proven analytical, tracking & reporting skills
  • Advanced in Excel desired
  • Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise management systems is desired
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions
  • Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and a go getter with the extra-mile approach
