Reporting directly to the Senior Regional Sales Director, WU - IMEA based in Dubai, the qualified candidate will represent the Water Utility Sales team ensuring customer value and business impact of the WU division in IMEA. What is the job about? As a Demand Planner you will be responsible for facilitating and driving the consensus process with cross functional groups (Sales, Marketing, Product Management & Finance) to determine an accurate forecast of anticipated demand by product category. This individual will play an integral role within the commercial team for ensuring unconstrained demand is captured and based on reliable information and analyses, and that short-term and long-term forecasts are aligned. Other responsibilities include the following activities:
Lead monthly demand review with commercial teams per the SIOP cycle. Conduct demand analysis, monitor sales history and report forecast changes and drivers
Reviews historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepares forecast data, and evaluates forecast results
Report out on variations to the plan from month to month (planning) and from week to week (execution)
Ability to synthesize multiple sources of data (shipment trends, market data, competitive dynamics, internal developments) and translate to an impact to the forecast
Identifies gaps to the Budget and impacts of internal change, competitor dynamics and other external factors that may impact demand
Documents and retains history of planning assumptions, risks and opportunities to the plan
Measure, monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective actions are completed (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, project progress)
Drive continuous improvements in execution of practices and methods within planning area
Evaluate specific strategic requests using scenario planning or what-if simulations to make recommendations
Interface with other functions as required ensuring transparency of the Demand Planning process and results
Performs some lead responsibilities which may include: global forecast consolidation and root cause change drivers
Performs other duties as assigned
Your Background
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or related technical field
6-7 years of relevant demand planning or sales forecasting experience
Solid knowledge of the plans, processes, metrics and activities within the functional area in Supply chain
Working with numbers is necessary and a keen eye for details and analysis is also required
Experience with SAP IBP is a plus
Strong collaboration, organization, influence and negotiation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills for presentations to all levels of the business
Ability to initiate, frame, facilitate and drive improvement initiatives within defined processes
Approach improvements from and End-to-End holistic view & capability to communicate End-to-End implications
