Delivery Rider
Job Title: Delivery Rider / Courier / Delivery Driver
Department: Delivery, Logistics, Operations
Reports To: Dispatch Manager or Operations Manager
Summary:
The Delivery Rider is responsible for the timely and professional pickup, transport, and delivery of packages, food orders, or documents to customers. This role is the final point of contact with the customer and is essential to providing a positive service experience.
Key Responsibilities:

• Accept delivery assignments via a mobile app or dispatch system.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Safely operate a scooter, motorcycle, or bicycle, adhering to all traffic and safety laws.
• Pick up packages from a central hub or restaurant and verify order accuracy.
• Deliver items to the correct address and customer, obtaining signatures or proof of delivery as required.
• Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a polite and professional demeanor.
• Manage cash or digital transactions for COD (Cash on Delivery) orders accurately.
• Perform basic maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle (e.g., fuel, tire pressure, brakes).
• Report any accidents, traffic violations, or customer issues to dispatch immediately.
• Use a smartphone app for navigation, order status updates, and communication.
