Job Description

A warehouse delivery driver is urgently needed his responsibilities like operating vehicles to transport goods, loading and unloading materials performing record-keeping for inventory and deliveries, maintaining vehicle and warehouse safety, and assisting with general warehouse duties like picking and packing orders. Key requirements often include a valid driver's license, knowledge of warehouse inventory procedures, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation:

Drive vehicles to transport goods, materials, and products to and from warehouses, distribution centers, and customer locations.

Loading & Unloading:

Safely load and unload materials and merchandise, utilizing equipment like forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, pickups, inventory, and vehicle maintenance.

Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance:

Inspect vehicles and equipment for mechanical issues before and after use, and report any malfunctions to supervisors.

Safety:

Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines for the warehouse and while transporting cargo.

Warehouse Duties:

Perform general warehouse tasks as needed, such as picking, packing, and organizing inventory.

Customer Service:

Interact professionally with customers, potentially handling customer complaints or inquiries during deliveries.
Key Requirements

License:

A valid driver's license, often with a specific class for the type of vehicle being operated (e.g., a commercial driver's license for heavier trucks).

Experience:

Experience as a warehouse driver or in a similar role involving logistics and delivery.

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with warehouse inventory management procedures and relevant vehicle weight restrictions.

Reliability:

A reliable and responsible attitude, with a clean driving record often preferred.
