The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting food products and goods safely and efficiently to customers, retail locations, and event sites. This role requires punctuality, professionalism, and a strong commitment to handling items with care and maintaining product quality during transit.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver products to customers or outlets on time and in perfect condition.
Load and unload delivery vehicles following safety procedures.
Verify delivery contents and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
Follow assigned delivery routes and adapt to schedule changes as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the delivery vehicle.
Report any delays, vehicle issues, or delivery complications to the supervisor.
Ensure all items are handled with care, especially delicate or temperature-sensitive products (e.g., cakes, pastries, chilled/frozen items).
Comply with all traffic laws and company delivery procedures.
Maintain delivery records, invoices, and logs accurately.
Skills & Requirements:
Valid driver's license (light vehicle or as required by local regulations).
Proven experience as a delivery driver (preferably in food or bakery delivery).
Good knowledge of routes, GPS navigation, and time management.
Ability to lift, carry, and move delivery items safely.
Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
Basic knowledge of food handling and hygiene is a plus.
