Debt Controller (Receivables)
Job Title: Debt Controller (Receivables)
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Finance Manager / Chief Accountant
Summary:
We require an experienced Debt Controller to manage our company's receivables and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices. The ideal candidate will be persistent, professional, and possess excellent negotiation skills to maintain positive customer relationships while securing payments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Contact customers via phone, email, and in-person visits to collect overdue payments.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities in the accounting system.
• Resolve billing and customer credit issues in a timely manner.
• Generate and analyze aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
• Negotiate repayment plans and settlements with customers where necessary.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on collection status and accounts receivable.
• Coordinate with the sales and legal departments regarding severely delinquent accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and process incoming payments.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Proven UAE experience as a Debt Collector, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or in a similar role.
• Education: Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with accounting software, particularly Tally, is essential.
• Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Persistence and resilience. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
