One of the reputed University in Oman requires DEAN - Faculty of Engineering. ? Provide academic and strategic leadership to give purpose and direction to take the faculty forward. ? Provide academic management by overseeing and developing the faculty’s core activities of teaching, assessing, advising, research, and other service activities related to knowledge transfer. ? Guide and support individual staff towards the achievement of strategic goals and performance targets. ? Liaise with local and regional industry and business communities to support, develop and promote faculty and university objectives. ? Develop the portfolio of programmes offered in the faculty in response to the University’s strategic plan and market needs and demands, and follow-up with relevant organizations and MoHE&I for necessary approvals in line with instructions from the DVC Academic Affairs office. ? Ensure the quality and standards of programmes within the Faculty are continuously maintained and enhanced to promote effective knowledge transfer and develop active learning capabilities. ? Raise the research profile of the faculty internally and externally. ? Take the lead role in increasing the quality of teaching and research activities. ? Monitor and appraise staff in line with University policies and regulations Compensation Package • Attractive salary commensurate with qualifications/experience + housing and transportation allowance. • Medical insurance for staff, spouse and 2 children under 18 living in Oman for non-Omanis. • Seven weeks paid annual leave and return air travel for staff, spouse and 2 children under age of 18 years to country of origin. • End of contract (2 years) gratuity (for non-Omani candidate).
